Megan Williams, TWH 2022 Nonfiction Teaching Assistant

Megan Williams is a freelance writer and running coach. She lives in Bellingham, Washington with her husband, thirteen-year-old twins, and two rescue mastiffs. A former academic, Megan has a Ph.D. in English and has taught English, Film Studies and Writing at Santa Clara University, Lafayette College, and the University of Delaware. Routledge published her book of literary criticism, and her non-fiction has appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Literal Latte, The Chariton Review, and HerSports. She is currently working on a memoir titled The House That Jack Built: An Autobiography of a Place. This manuscript was a 2021 finalist for the Pirate’s Alley William Faulkner Award. The first chapter of this manuscript was a finalist for the Barry Lopez Nonfiction Prize; received honorable mention from the New Millennium Nonfiction Award; and was longlisted for the 2019 Fish Publishing Short Memoir Prize.
