Julie Colacchio, TWH 2022 Fiction Teaching Assistant
Julie Colacchio is in the throes of deep revision of her third fantasy novel and seeking agent representation for the second. When not writing she is teaching. Julie has a Master’s Degree in Literature and teaches Creative Writing, Literature, and Public Speaking at the secondary and college level. She writes characters to teach her students that smart girls kick ass.
Ms. Colacchio lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with her kind husband, opinionated children, and lovely adopted pets. In fact, she almost has a farm, but without a cow...or a pig...or a goat. She has a weird thing for Greek Tragedies, especially Aeschylus, and zombies.
She is a former Writing Fellow for the Hudson Valley Writing Project, an alum of the 2020 “The Writer's Hotel” conference, tied for First Place in the “Scintillating Starts” contest, and was longlisted for the “Friday Night Live” contest last year at the Jericho Summer Festival of Writing. She can be found on Twitter @jjcolacchio and on her website: https://juliecolacchio.com/.
